According to the city, which has owned the 90-year-old three-masted barque since this year, a total of around 70 square meters of outer skin had to be replaced. The ship has been at the Volkswerft shipyard in Stralsund since June. At a cost of around 10 million euros, the aim is to ensure the ship's buoyancy for the next 25 years, the safety of the rigging and fire protection.
