Stock Photo - PRODUCTION - 03 November 2023, Saxony, Plauen: The Weisbach House, which has now been converted and renovated into a museum, can be seen in Plauen below the towers of the town hall and St. John's Church. As the ""Factory of Threads"", the new museum complex in one of Saxony's oldest and first manufactory buildings opens its doors to visitors on November 12. Textile fabrics, embroidery and especially the town's most important export hit, ""Plauen lace"", will be the focus of the exhibition. Light installations with threads, lace and embroidery characterize the exhibition. Historical embroidery machines show the mechanical development of the textile industry that made the Vogtland region famous. The building is part of the exhibition. It was built from 1775 as a so-called calico printing works.
