Stock Photo - PRODUCTION - 05 May 2023, Saxony, Leipzig: Steel artist Dana Meyer welds a 1.10-meter-long dachshund in her backyard, which is part of her studio, as part of a new installation. Alongside smaller metal insects in glass, the unusual life-size steel sculpture is one of the works that the artist forges freehand and without plastic designs. She uses mostly found steel plates to create forged parts, which she assembles into the unusual figures like a puzzle using a cutting torch and welding equipment. She is represented with her works from 12.5.-20.08.23 at the Galerie Rothamel in Frankfurt/Main and from 6.6.-30.6.23 at the Galerie Marie de Holmsky in Paris.
