The manor house was still inhabited in GDR times and housed the Konsum store. The building has stood empty for decades and continues to fall into disrepair. Even though the village, located directly on Schwerin's outer lake and only 20 kilometers from the state capital of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, is increasingly developing into a tourist area, there are no plans to use the dilapidated property.
