Stock Photo - PRODUCTION - 17 July 2023, Schleswig-Holstein, Friedrichskoog: Numerous visitors follow the daily feeding of the harbor seals and grey seals living permanently at the seal station. The Friedrichskoog Seal Sanctuary currently houses 153 young seals, which will be released into the Wadden Sea in the coming weeks when they have reached the necessary weight. With the peak phase of seal births in the Wadden Sea, the busiest time of the year is approaching for the animal keepers in the two German seal stations these days.
