Stock Photo - PRODUCTION - 17 November 2023, Saxony, Falkenstein: Ralph Ide holds a copy of an envelope from the time of the Second World War in front of an exhibition poster on Alfred Roßner in the Falkenstein town archive. Born in the small town in the Vogtland region, Roßner saved the lives of several Jews during the Nazi era as the fiduciary manager of a textile factory in Poland by hiding them or enabling them to escape. The Gestapo found out about his activities and arrested him. He died 80 years ago in December 1943 in prison in what is now Sosnowiec. He bears the honorary title ""Righteous Among the Nations"" from the Israeli memorial site Yad Vashem.
