Stock Photo - PRODUCTION - 21 August 2023, Saxony, Leipzig: In the depot of the university's art collection, art historian Simone Tübbecke compares the original fragments of the Fürstenhaus oriel from the 16th century, which were restored in recent years by the Berlin stone conservator Thomas Schubert and are now in storage, with an old photograph. After extensive restoration, fragments of the Fürstenhaus oriel have now returned to Leipzig. They belong to one of the most magnificent Renaissance buildings in the fair city, which was destroyed in a bombing raid during World War II.
