The end of June marks the 30th anniversary of the day when the municipality of Amt Neuhaus and parts of the town of Bleckede were reincorporated into the district of Lüneburg. Since 1993, Amt Neuhaus and parts of the town of Bleckede have once again belonged to the district of Lüneburg. During the German division, the towns on the right bank of the Elbe were part of the GDR. After the German reunification the unification took place. On June 30, 1993, the reincorporation of the municipality of Amt Neuhaus and the districts of Neu Bleckede and Neu Wendischthun into Lower Saxony was sealed by a state treaty.
