The Hamburg children's hospice Sternenbrücke celebrates its 20th anniversary on May 1, 2023. At the start 20 years ago the child hospice was only the second mechanism of this kind country widely. The Sternenbrücke children's hospice currently cares for around 700 families; the idyllically located house in the Rissen district has room for a stay of twelve families. Terminally ill patients up to the age of 27 can be admitted. More than 200 boys and girls have died in the hospice so far.
