The last two years saw the summarizing of scientific knowledge regarding the research within translation and language mediation and every day communication in the international networks of the Pietism from Halle. The languages taught at the Hallesche orphanage, in which above all poor children were housed, included Latin, Hebrew, Greek, as well as French, English, Russian and Polish. The cabinet of curiosity is the only one of its kind preserved from Baroque periods in all of Europe. It was founded for educational purposes in the year of 1698.
