Stock Photo - Railroad motor coach M 290.0 (or Tatra 68), so-called Slovenska Strela, with unique electromechanical power transmission engine was invented by Josef Sousedik (nicknamed ""Moravian Edison"") in 1936 and was able to reach the speed of 148 km/h. The train covered the route Prague-Bratislava in 5 hours with average speed of 92 km/h with maximum permitted speed limit of 130 km/h. After the World War II was the train used only for government transport including the journeys to Nuremberg Trials. Train M 290.0 in Technical Museum Tatra in the city of Koprivnice has become National Cultural Landmark in 2010.
