It is a project born from the collaboration between the FS Italiane Group (State railways), the Civil Protection Department and the Lombardy Regional Emergency Agency (AREU). The convoy, equipped with medical personnel and carriages with specific medical devices, will serve for national or international emergencies management. The train will be used to transport patients to other areas of Italy or abroad. In addition to representing an integration to the local health service for emergencies management, it will also ease the pressure on hospital facilities in case of use as an Advanced Medical Post.
