The illuminant producer Ledvance is set to close down its plants in Berlin and Augsburg by the end of 2018. According to union information more than half of the workplaces are going to be cut. In march 2017 Osram sold its branch Ledvance, which was named in 2016, for more than 400 million euros to a consortium affiliated to the Chinese investor MLS.
