Stock Photo - The exhibition 'La Roma della Repubblica. Il racconto dell’Archeologia', set up in the rooms of Palazzo Caffarelli, illustrates, through a series of archaeological themes and contexts, the characters and transformations of Roman society over the course of no less than five centuries, from the 5th to the middle of the 1st century BC. There are about 1800 works, artefacts in bronze, local stone, in rare cases marble, and above all terracotta, which form the exhibition itinerary based on a long and complex work in which traditional methods of investigation and innovative reconstruction techniques are interwoven. This is the second chapter, following that of the exhibition La Roma dei Re, of the great cycle 'Il Racconto dell'Archeologia' , a project promoted by the Direzione Musei Archeologici e Storico-artistici, based mainly on materials and contexts pertaining to the municipal collections preserved in the warehouses and museums of the Sovrintendenza.
