Stock Photo - To launch a new wind tunnel scientist Jens Voigtlaender is demonstrating the mode of operation of the system at the Leibniz Institute for Tropospheric Research in Leipzig, Germany, 25 April 2017. With the new wind tunnel, the experts of the Leibniz Institute want to explore the global climate change even more closely. Among other things, the scientists are able to investigate how strongly air currents affect the formation and the freezing of clouds under precisely adjustable experimental conditions. The costs for the new plant are estimated to be around one million euros. The institute has been operating the cloud laboratory since 2006. According to institute it is the only facility of its kind worldwide. Photo: Hendrik Schmidt/dpa-Zentralbild/dpa | usage worldwide. - Leipzig/Saxony/Germany
