Thas was announced Friday 14-6-2013 by the animal park when mother and children for first time went outside. It was known that gorilla N'Gayla (woman, 20 years old) was pregnant but the birth was expected later this summer, and certainly not twins were expected. Gorillas get usually only one young at a time. Twin births at gorillas are very rare. In a European zoo something hapens only once in ten years. Mother and babies (a girl and a boy) are doing well. Earlier this year, there was also a gorilla birth at Royal Burgers' Zoo, who is this year 100 years old. Mother Nimba then got a healthy son. Two females in the gorilla group are also pregant.
