Stock Photo - Two new bird flu cases were confirmed in the Czech Republic, one in southern Moravia and one in central Bohemia, with the country recording a total of five cases so far. The bird flu virus in a goose at a farm in Lazne Tousen, a town in the Prague-east district, is the first case discovered outside the south of Moravia. The farm has up to 800 different kinds of poultry. Laboratory tests today confirmed the H5N8 strain of the avian influenza virus in the goose. On Monday, January 9, 2016, firemen help liquidate some 1,000 birds of different species (ducks, peacocks, parrots, ostrichs and pigeons) at the farm near Prague. (CTK Photo/Michal Krumphanzl)
