Meet 14 -year-old CHITA, named for Cheetara from the 1985 cartoon ThunderCats, who's lived her entire life at OFF BROADWAY FLORAL EVENTS flower shop in ASTORIA, QUEENS. She was given to shop owner & floral designer Constantine Zervas by his then teenage niece, who couldn't take care of her. ""We call her two-faces,"" Zervas said of his uniquely colored cat. ""Many people come by the shop just to see her."" ""Customers even bring her Christmas gifts!"" he added. The fancy feline and her distinctive face might look a bit spooky but really, she's got... no bite. She's always up for petting and attention from a passerby, and will even meow on command for it. ""She's very, very mellow,"" Zervas said. So much so she didn't even mind when a pigeon & squirrel wandered, on separate occasions, into his shop. ""CHITA didn't do anything. Just watched,"" he added with a smile. And there's perks to living in a florist's shop, surrounded by so much greenery. CHITA particularly loves to hang outside by the plants when the weather's nice.
