Stock Photo - View of an old transport lorry in one of the factory halls damaged by Allied bombardment in the submarine bunker Valentin, taken on 11.08.2018. The submarine bunker Valentin in Bremen-Farge was built on a surface of more than 3.5 hectares in the years 1943 to 1945 by forced laborers, making it the largest freestanding bunker in Germany. In this important armament project of the German Navy naval submarines of type XXI were to be manufactured in section construction. After the World War, the Federal Navy used parts of the site until 2010 as a material store. In the years 2011 to 2015, a visitor center with the memorial site Denkort Bunker Valentin was created, in which thousands of forced laborers come to death. Other parts of the bunker are now used as private storage areas. Photo: Matthias Toedt / dpa-Zentralbild / ZB / Picture Alliance | usage worldwide. - Hanseatic city of Bremen/Bremen/Deutschland
