The traffic will be re-directed along the road L 296, the old Ruegen dam. Specialised inspectors of construction check the bridge deck and the pillars in the course of the main examination. This extensive bridge examination according to DIN 1076 (German Institute for Standardization) is necessary every six years for the guarantee of the serviceability, structural stability and traffic safety.
