Stock Photo - 1951 - Twice fast the Milner Twins: Coming up fast in the running stakes are Britain's new 4 minute mile hopes, the Milner twins, Peter and Tony. They are just two of the up and coming runners who look like putting Britain back on the athletics map. The twins fastest times over a mile so far are: Peter; 4 minutes 3.9, and Tony, 4-4.4, but they hope to improve on these times as the season progresses. For the immediate future, after a two weeks holiday in France when they won't be running a step, they have an International meeting at Leighton lined up. They train together, which they find a great help, especially in the winter months, three nights a week at the Walton on Thames track, and three nights on the playing fields near their home at East Molesey. Career wise, they are both in training with B.O.A.C ultimately to be pilots, but at present getting the general low down on the company.
