But tragedy struck one day when the dog was run over by a car, crushing the animal's back legs. The could not bear the thought of having the dog destroyed, so after some careful nursing, he devised a special contraption on two wheels which is fitted to the dog's back legs, enabling it once again to accompany it's master.
