The French sculptress whose 'Nanas' are internationally known, has now shown that she can also produce them in small scale, although she still prefers to make gigantic ladies. She has made a small porcelain 'Nana' for Rosenthal's Object line, continuing their series of small modern sculptures. Like all 'Nans' (always variants of the theme of the great mother), this one is cheerfully painted, the colouring is intuitive, but also symbolic. The little monster loses thereby some of it's latent terror. (Credit Image: © Keystone Pictures USA/ZUMAPRESS.com)
