Stock Photo - 1972 - Peter Lorenz - Chairman Of The Berlin CDU -Party - Kidnapped: Only some days before the election for the Berlin 'Abgeordnstenhaus', the chairman of the Berlin CDU (Christlich Demokratische Union), Peter Lorenz, was kidnapped. The attack happend on February 27th near the home of Lorenz, when the politician was going to the office in his car. Two men and one woman stopped the car of the CDU-chairman, knocked down his driver and menaced Lorenz by a tummy gun and then started off with the kidnapped man in direction to the City. Although there was started immediately a great search in Berlin and also in the Federal Republic of Germany, till now there is no track of the kidnappers and also their victim. In the meantime the kidnappers made public their claims for release of Lorenz, these are: Release of Berlin lawyer Horst Mahler and further five members of the organization 'Rote Armee Fraktion', disposition of a Boing 707 for flight away and escort of this machine by a person of public life, - they proposed the former Berlin Mayor and present clergyman Heinrich Albertz. The letter including these claims is signed by 'Bewegung 2. Juni (on June 2nd 8 years ago there was killed the student Benno Ohnesorge during a demonstration in Berlin).
