He will be dressed with inconspicuous ordinaryness, working class rather than West End, artisan more than teen-age Teddy style. yet this clean-shaven man who wage a finger as he talks over a pint, and heaps on the mustard to his beef sandwich, is the new-Age Olivier, the man who turns down film offers of hundreds of thousands of pounds rather than forgo his freedoms of choice and route to where he is going. He is Albert Finney, the star of billy Liar turned down offers to play Lawrence of Arabian in a film and refuses to sign away his future to anyone. And for a bookie's son form Lanchashire's cotton town of salford this is good going. Two men in a Pub: not a very remarkable scene but the younger man has already said 'No' to a film offer to 50,000.
