Stock Photo - A system of rail-mounted cable trolleys on skipways and traditional locks are connecting the various sections of the Elblag Canal. A 100 metre difference in water levels is overcome during a length of 80 km between Ostroda and Elblag. The rail lift devices are mechanically driven by water power.
