All, it is said, came to a test around the ninth century B. C. when Ahab was king of Israel. Elijah had two pyres built to sacrifice two bulls. Baal's followers prayed for fire to burn their slaughtered bull. No fire came. Elijah prayed for Yahweh to send fire to burn his slaughtered bull - and fire came.
