Stock Photo - An exterior view of Christ Church, now an art gallery, seen from the south-east and showing the east apsidal end. The church was built between 1850 and 1854 by E. B. Lamb from London, and has an aisled nave, north and south transepts with vestries, west tower and an aisled chancel with apsidal end. The tower has four stages with a pierced parapet and a taller south-east square turret with spire. There is a large rose window in the gable of the south transpet, and the east window sonsits of three lancet windows, the middle of which is taller. The church was made redundant in June 1973 and was converted in to an art gallery which opened in 1996.
