Stock Photo - Anchored to the Canadarm2 foot restraint, astronaut Clay Anderson, Expedition 15 flight engineer, removes the Early Ammonia Servicer (EAS) from its place on the International Space Station during a session of extravehicular activity (EVA). Anderson later jettisoned the EAS by shoving it opposite of the station's direction of travel. The EAS was installed on the P6 truss during STS-105 in August 2001, as an ammonia reservoir if a leak had occurred. It was never used, and was no longer needed after the permanent cooling system was activated last December. The blackness of space and Earth's horizon provide the backdrop for the scene.
