Stock Photo - Apr. 04, 1957 - Girl says she was 'held prisoner' in Garden Cave. : Police are investigating the case of 28 year o.d Miss Marjorie Jordan who says she was kept a prisoner in a garden cae for fifteen weeks by 26 year old Mr. John Bridal at the latter's home in Lewsiham, London. The girl was reported missing from her home in Wimbourhe Way, Beck-nh-m on Jan 7th. Mrs. Hutshinson - a neighbor in Lewisham found a note on her lawn which read 'I am Miss M. Jordan, missing form Elmers End. I am being kept a prisoner under a big shed. he has got me in the ground where there is a room. He is keeping me here. Will you please help mea call the police'. The police found Miss Jordan - and she is now staying at the home of her brother-in-law in Beckenham. Mr. Bridal says he did not detain Miss Jordan against her will - except for the first few days. Photo shows sc-e inside the garden cave - where Miss Jordan claims she was held prisoner. This is the bed on which she says she slept.
