Stock Photo - Apr. 04, 1972 - 0 Million loan for Hydro-Electric project in Greece.: A 0 million,seven year loan to the public power corporation of Greece, guaranteed by that country's central bank, has been arranged with a group of 17 banks by first Chicago Limitad, London - based International Investment and Merchant banking subsidiary of the First national bank of Chicago. The loan will be used to finance the electrification program of Greece, including the Putnari Hydro- electric power project located on Arachthos river near the town of Loannina in Western Greece. The preliminary study for the project was undertaken by the United Nations. Banks participating in the loan are:The First National Bank of Chicago, United California Bank, Toronto Dominion Bank, Bankers Trust Company, City National Bank of Detroit, Daiwa Bank Limited, Fuji Bank Limited, Girard Trust Bank, Industrial Bank of Japan LIimited, Irving Trust Company, Midland Bank Limited, Bank of Kobe Limited, Bank of Nova Scotia, Marine Midland Bank- New York, Mitsui bank Limited, Toka- Bank Limited, Williams and Glyns Bank Limited.
