It's half a car, half boat, and has been invented by Mr. Charles Vinten, 57,of Whetstone, Middlesex, and a team of British engineers. This project called the Hydrocar, has a fibre glass body with a metal frame moulded into it. and should be in production in two years and will cost about -3,000. The Hydrocar has many advantages over existing amphibious cars. The hull, throws water inwards to create a cushion and the wheels retract. It will be powered by a 140 h.p. car engine.
