A recent attitude survey int he Fleet indicated there was no strong feeling for a move away from the traditional 'square rig' but that it could certainly be made easier to put on, take off and maintain. Following this, seven new designs have been considered and these were modelled alongside the existing uniform. The models were serving sailors. Colours are basically unchanged, navy-blue, white, and gold. A group of Wrens were invited to give the female point of view.
