A v-shaped frame has been created around the flower branches with four feathered leaves. The appliqués are made by embroidering flowers on a piece of batist with festoon stitches and cordon stitches. Perhaps a whole piece of batist is always attached to the tulle and only then are parts of the batist cut away, following the shape of the embroidered motifs.
