Stock Photo - Bishop blessing a congregation, Whole folio Preface to a blessing for a dedication of a church. A bishop is using a benedictional to pronounce a blessing on the congregation. He is dressed in Mass vestments, and stands under a baldachino in front of an altar upon which are paten and chalice. He is assisted by six monks, one of whom holds the benedictional. Above them, are the heads of lay persons, including a lady. Only the bishop, the benedictional, the altar and the baldachino are coloured, the rest is given in line drawing.
