Small craft, gun emplacements and a quay on the Brest Peninsula took a pounding from England-based U.S. Army 8th Air Force bombers several weeks after D-Day, 1944. The camera caught the bombs in various stages of exploding and at the same time recorded the success of the mission. Underwater defences can be seen at the lower right.
