Stock Photo - Czech ambassador to Britain Michael Zantovsky has written a biography of Vaclav Havel (1936-2011), the first Czechoslovak post-communist president (1989-1992) and Czech head of state (1993-2003). The book by Zantovsky, a founder of the Civic Forum (OF) that was instrumental in the fall of the communist regime in late 1989, and later Havel´s spokesman, is simply called ""Havel"". Zantovsky first wrote the book in English not only because it was to be destined for readers abroad where such a book is lacking, but also to keep a distance from the theme, which is easier when one writes in a foreign language, he said. He called the English edition ""Havel. A Life."" Michael Zantovsky is pictured during the book signing in Prague, Czech Republic, November 10, 2014. (CTK Photo/Vit Simanek)
