Stock Photo - Dec. 12, 1954 - Laying the foundation stone for new 'Church of Annunciation for Nazareth': The Latin Patriarch Monsignor Alberto Gori recently visited Israel from the Old City of Jerusalem - for the purpose of laying the Foundation Stone of the Fourth Church of the Annunciation at Nazareth - also to mark the end of the 'Marian Year'. The new church will be the largest in the Middle east measuring about 250 ft by 260 ft. and about 210 ft. in height. The Church was designed by the Vatican Architect Signor Barluzzi - will take about three years to complete and will cost about Four Million Dollars - will be built in local stone - with Italian marble for the interior.
