General Chaud-Huri Leads the attack.: Indian army sources today claimed that the invasion of the three Portuguese enclaves on India's West Coast was 'going to plan' - while Portuguese sources spoke of 'bitter fighting' and 'heroic resistance'. The main operation in GOA began just after midnight and it is expected to be over in two or three days. The occupation of the tiny enclaves of Daman and Diu are expected to be completed today. As India's land forces estimated be 30,000 strong - battled their way over mountainous border area - seaborne troops landed by warships established a beachhead in Southern Goa near Majhali early today.
