Stock Photo - Feb. 24, 1968 - Peter Nearly Gets the Boot!: Peter is a very fine pelican who regularly performs at the great Chipper field Circus, now and caring for the first time on Clapham Common. Peter is paid handsomely for his work in the shape of luscious herrings every week, but he's a greedy bird and when he saw a boot lying around he decided it right make a tasty fish and in a rather of seconds the boot had vanished down his throat.
