Stock Photo - Gannets - nesting rock at Muriwai gannet colony off west coast near Auckland. (Morus serrator). North Island - New Zealand. Established around 1900 the gannets replace an earlier nesting site for white terms. By the mid 1970s the gannets had run out of space and began nesting on the mainland. Over 1000 pairs now nest here annually.
