Stock Photo - Germany, Gaienhofen, 25.05.2010 Hermann Karl HESSE (1877-1962), was a GermanSwiss poet, writer and a leisure painter. Among other things 1946 the Nobel Prize for literature and 1954 the medal Pour le merite was lent to it for science and arts. Hermann Hesse lived also for 8 years at the Bodensee. Here it lived 3 years in a small farmhouse, before it let itself build a house in the Erlenloh. But the isolation of the Bodensee was not anything for it, 1912 moved the family to Berne.
