Many areas remain flooded and groundwater supplies have also been affected in this area, one of many on the eastern Indian Ocean seaboard which were affected by the disaster. Helicopter squadrons and sailors with the Abraham Lincoln Carrier Group are assisting in the international humanitarian effort to aid the victims of the tsunami.
