A border strip is sewn zigzag-wise on a standing band, so that the jabot falls back and forth seven times. A cut-out embroidery rose is placed at the top. The repeating pattern consists of a hanging, drop-shaped leaf with a round flower on a short bent stem. The motifs are connected by a machine-driven Valenciennes ground with square mesh. A semicircular shell is formed around each bottom along the underside of the strip, whereby the mesh becomes a band. The top of the strip is finished straight and then zigzagged as described above.
