Ten people lost their lives and eighty seven were injured in the train crash at Dagenham, Essex last night. A crowded passenger train crashed into the rear of another train on the busy Southend line as the last of the rush hour trains took city workers home - in the dense fog. One of the many heroes of the crash wash polish born Dr. Leslie Leszczynski who preformed an emergency amputation on the Guard Mr. W, Archer in the shattered rear carriage of the Southend train. Mr. Archer lost his other leg in the crash itself.
