Stock Photo - Jan. 10, 1975 - Former Orphanage Inhabitant Returned To the Home As An Adult: He called the orphanage his home when he was a child and that's whe Walter Auer of Munich returned to it as a grown-up. Some years after the war, when his mother had died and his father went off to sea, Walter was brought to the orphanage, where he soon felt at home. As a grown up, having become a joiner, he decided to give up his job and return to the orphanage - as a caretaker. To the boys and girls there he is much more than a caretaker and he does everything to make them feel at home. He also met his wife there and meanwhile has a family with two children himself, but the 160 little inhabitants of the orphanage are all part of the big family.
