The three will lift off in the Soyuz TMA-02M spacecraft from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan destined for the International Space Station. Looking on is Soyuz commander Sergei Volkov, Russian cosmonaut, who along with Furukawa, will be launched with NASA astronaut Mike Fossum, flight engineer, to spend almost six months on the complex.
