Swedish racing driver Bonnier competed in Formula 1 and sportscar racing between 1956 and 1972, when he was killed in an accident at Le Mans. He was not classified in this non-championship race, despite winning the first of the three heats over which it was run. He drove for Porsche in Formula 1 in the 1961 and 1962 seasons.
