Barry Lynch, of Eastbourne, today broke the record in the 'Daily Mail' Air Race, when he covered the 214 miles between London and Paris in 57 min.3 sec, which beat the time Capt. Roderick Walker, set up on Monday, by 44 seconds. Lieut. Lynch, from the Royal Corps of Signals Training Brigade at Catterick, across the Channel by R.A.F Hunter Jet Fighter. Photo shows 2nd.
