They will be opened with a new production of 'Tristan and Isolde', for which Jean-Pierre Ponnlle is in charge of. Rene Kollo and Johanna Meier will sing the both name-parts under the musical direction of Daniel Barenboim. 'Tristan and Isolde' will be performed seven times. The festival's program will also show: 'Die Meistersinger von Nurunberg' (The mastersingers of Nuremberg that's a new production, too), 'Lohengrin', 'Parsifal' and 'Der fliegende Hollander' (The Flying Dutchman). The 'Bayreuther Festspiele' of this year will last until August 28th.
